Felix Aublet (1903 – 1978) was born in Tunis, Tunisia. The son of French painter, Albert Aublet, he enrolled in the Ecole des Beaux Arts de Paris to study painting. Rapidly developing an interest in other forms of expression, he quickly became a multidisciplinary artist working on projects for which he was the architect, decorator, colorist, as well as lighting and furniture designer. He also designed numerous sets for both the film industry and theater. While a tragic accident left him paralyzed in 1959, Aublet continued to paint and exhibit his work until his death.
