Oscar Tusquets Blanca (born 1941 in Barcelona, Spain) presents himself publicly as an architect by training, a designer by adaptation, a painter by vocation, and a writer through the desire to make friends. He graduated as an architect in 1965 from Barcelona's Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura and was a member of Studi Per that also included Pep Bonet, Cristian Cirici, Lluís Clotet and Mireia Riera. Together with these individuals, Tusquets co-founded Editiones Bd in 1972. His work is included in several museums including New York's Museum of Modern Art and Paris' Centre George Pompidou; he has worked with a number of manufacturers including Alessi, BD Barcelona, Expormim, and Tonon.
