Roberto Barbieri (1942 – 2012) was born in Milan, Italy, and graduated with a degree in architecture from the Milan Politecnico in 1969.  In the same year, he began his career with architect, Marco De Carli.  Through the early to mid 1970s, Barbieri was actively involved with a series of important exhibitions on home furnishings and living spaces.  He has created several designs for Italian manufacturers including Poliform and Zanotta.
