Marie Rahm (born 1975 in Munich, Germany) and Monica Singer (born 1975 in Salzburg, Austria) have been working together since 2004 when they founded Polka.  Both designers studied at the College of Applied Arts in Vienna and the Royal College of Art in London.  Their trademark is work that intelligently questions and subtly subverts our habits as consumers.  A look at their considerable oeuvre soon reveals their curiosity, intelligence, and professionalism which has helped to open a fresh new chapter in the history of design
