Observing the growing density of cities across the globe, Neri&Hu's bathtub design addresses the increasingly confined living spaces with which urban dwellers are confronted. The Immersion bathtub was inspired by traditional timber bathing vessels used in both Japan and China. It is deeper than a standard tub and actually occupies a smaller footprint. Similar to a Japenese "onsen" hot spring experience where the posture of bathing is more upright rather than reclined; this added depth allows for full immersion of the entire body, engendering a deep relaxation while enjoying the steam as it rises off the water surface. Immersion features minimalist lines, maintains elegant proportions, and offers a thoroughly unique and luxurious bathing experience. Manufactured by Agape.
