Designed by: Angelo Mangiarotti
Manufactured by: Agapecasa
Designed by Angelo Mangiarotti in 1981 and originally produced by Skipper, Italy, the Asolo dining tables are available as a range that includes a square as well as several rectilinear sizes. All of the Asolo pieces feature marble bases and tops that use no traditional joints or clamps. Mangiarotti’s structural design of each piece involves gravity-based embedding between the eyelet in the top and sloping trapezoidal leg that expertly fits and locks within this elliptical opening. The associated weight of the top makes the embedding even tighter fitting, increasing the overall stability of the entire structure. Each of the resulting Asolo table designs is extraordinarily elegant in its simplicity – its distinct minimalist aesthetics having been born from this remarkable structural innovation. Available in several different marbles including white Carrara, black Marquina, green Alpi, gray Carnico, and brown Emperador. Manufactured by Agapecasa.
