The Edward sofa's name is a nod to American mid-century designer Edward Wormley whose designs have remained highly influential since the 1950s and 1960s and clearly served as an inspiration for Niels Bendtsen's contemporary reinterpretation of such. The Edward sofa combines the use of several down-filled back cushions with a single seat cushion giving it an informal and relaxed appearance. The buttoned seat cushion alludes to the Edward's mid- century roots, yet its proportions and comfort are markedly contemporary. Its backrest and arms are appropriately scaled to give excellent back support without appearing oversized and heavy, while the down-filled back cushions conform to give superb comfort. Edward is available in three sizes and in a wide range of fabric and leather upholstery options - fabric upholstery is removable. The option of combining fabric upholstery on the frame with a leather seat cushion is also available. Replacement covers for an existing Edward sofa are also available. Manufactured by Bensen.
