Designed by: Eileen Gray
Manufactured by: ClassiCon
This versatile side table was one of Eileen Gray's favorite pieces and was actually located in the living room of her Paris apartment up to the time of her death. In 1922, she showed this table design in Amsterdam at an exhibition of French art. It was no surprise that it attracted the attention of the De Stijl architects. Its sculptural quality, its use of color, and its pragmatic function are all features of Gray's De Stijl design. While Gray actually used it as a tea table, the De Stijl table would also be perfect in an entrance area or even as a bedside table. A spectacular object that takes on surprisingly new appearances from whatever angle it is viewed. Composed of multiplex and MDF; finished in black and white matte lacquer. Manufactured by ClassiCon.
