Manufactured by: DCW Editions
Designed by Bertram Balas in 1970, the Here Comes the Sun suspension light was inspired by the rising of the sun in the morning. Now available through DCW Editions, this light was originally produced by Dutch manufacturer Raak. To avoid any copyright issues with the recently released Beatles song of the same name, the light's name was changed to Springfontein and introduced as such in 1970. The light's form is characterized by its unique curved cutout. It is available in several sizes with a choice of black or white exterior finish; interior finishes are white or copper. When illuminated, light is emitted downward, yet enough light is reflected within this curved opening to create engaging - indeed, magical - optical effects. Here Comes the Sun can be used independently or arranged in dramatic clusters. ETL certified. Manufactured by DCW Editions.
