As much sculpture as it is table, Desalto's Clay Collection was first presented at the 2015 Milan Furniture Fair and has subsequently been the recipient of numerous design awards including the Iconic Design Award (2015), Good Design Award (2016), and Red Dot Award - Product Design (2016). The concept of the Clay dining table is simple - two conical volumes touching one another in a seemingly gravity-defying way. The resulting aesthetic is a perfect balance of the interaction of these geometric volumes where top and base, balanced one atop the other, experience the bold support of a section reduced to a minimum. The Clay table is composed of a rigid polyurethane base. The ceramic top is 6 mm with safety mesh underneath. Clay is available in a wide range of color options. Manufactured by Desalto.
