Designed by: Jean-Michel Frank & Adolphe Chanaux
Manufactured by: Ecart International
The Dining Table 1935 aesthetic features Jean-Michel Frank's unique juxtaposition of simple forms with luxurious materials and finishes. The treatment of the dining table's four legs is just fascinating! The shape of each of leg is characteristic of the corbels used as shelf supports - here, the rectilinear table top is treated like a large "shelf" that is quite literally "supported" by these corbels. Frank's collaborations with interior designer, Adolphe Chanaux, resulted in important commissions from clients like the Rockefellers and Guerlains. In fact, this specific table design was created for Jean-Pierre Guerlain. Several examples of these collaborative pieces from from the early 1930s are included in museums collections around the world. Available in several finishes. Manufactured by Ecart International.
