Using a simple steel frame, the Vermelha lounge chair is composed of 500 meters of special rope with an acrylic core that is twisted hundreds of times to overlap in engaging and seemingly chaotic ways. This labor-intensive design is created by hand - each chair takes about a week to complete. Available in several colors, the Vermelha lounge chair is included in the permanent collections of several museums including New York's Museum of Modern Art and Cooper-Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum.
