Overview

The Lifesteel sofa combines soft leather with crisp metal to exhibit clean lines and a luxurious, defined silhouette. The frame on the Lifesteel sofa is available in a choice of finishes. The seat frame is metal covered in leather with cushions. The sofa features plush padding, and the seat cushions are down-filled with a supportive core. The Lifesteel sofa includes removable upholstery in either fabric or leather. Many Flexform designs feature removable upholstery covers. Manufactured by Flexform.

Antonio Citterio

Antonio Citterio (born 1950 in Meda, Italy) graduated from the Milan Polytechnic with a degree in architecture in 1972 - that same year he began work as a designer and consultant in the field of industrial design. With Terry Dwan, he formed Studio Citterio/Dwan in 1987. With Patricia Viel he founded the multidisciplinary Antonio Citterio and Partners in Milan in 1999. His works are included in permanent collections of New York's Museum of Modern Art, as well as the Centre Georges-Pompidou, Paris. Citterio was the recipient of the prestigious Compasso d′Oro award in both 1987 and 1995. Citterio has created pieces for a number of manufacturers - Arclinea, Axor, B&B Italia, Flexform, Flos, Kartell, Maxalto, Metalco, Skantherm, Studio TK, and Vitra.
