Lake is a wall light which stands out for its organic, asymmetrical shape filled with color. The slim space tucked within the bent edge of the lamp accommodates and conceals the LED light source, which casts a fluid light from this unusual location: from the external edge, the light is diffused inwards, shining along the glossy surface. With to its asymmetrical shape, Lake is especially ideal for compositions of color, light and movement to large walls. Manufactured by Foscarini.

Foscarini was founded in 1981 on the Italian island of Murano near Venice. Given its location, its early production pieces were logically focused primarily on blown glass. By the late 1980s, Carlo Urbinati and Alessandro Vecchiat (both had previously worked as designers for Foscarini) took over management of the company and expanded its mission to include research and experimentation in a range of materials other than glass – molded polyethelyene, aluminum, polycarbonate, even Kevlar thread and silicon-coated metal. This commitment to innovation through materials has led to successful collaborations with a number of renowned architects and designers over the past few decades including Ferruccio Laviani, Tom Dixon, Aldo Cibic, Piero Lissoni, Marc Sadler, James Irvine, Karim Rashid, Patricia Urquiola, Luca Nichetto, and Valerio Bottin. Foscarini has received numerous, prestigious awards and many of its designs are now in the permanent collections of several museums around the world.
Paolo Lucidi (1974) and Luca Pevere (1977) both studied and trained in Milan before launching their professional careers. The pair began working together in 2002 – four years later they established Studio Lucidi & Pevere. Together, Lucidi and Pevere have designed for a number of prominent brands, including, Agape, Casamania, De Castelli, De Padova, Emu, Foscarini, Gebrüder Thonet Vienna, Kristalia, Ligne Roset, Living Divani, La Cividina, Normann Copenhagen, Teracrea, Very Wood, and Zanotta. The designers' collaborative works that include a variety of lighting designs, have earned several honors – the Good Design Award, Designpreis Deutschland, Red Dot Design Award, and Compasso d'Oro Honourable.
