With its substantial footprint and "ceiling," the Pergola sofa has a physicality akin to a room. Indeed, the perimeter of rectilinear rails that support the back cushions functions like a retaining wall. The Pergola sofa is constructed in anodized aluminum and features an elevated seat platform and a canopy of plastic fabric. The cushions are composed of polyurethane foam rubber covered with water-repellent fabric. The associated textile covers of the cushions are removable.
