Manufactured by: Gandia Blasco
The Solanas chaise longue is part of a new Gandia Blasco collection that was created by Argentinian architect and designer, Daniel Germani. The forms were inspired by Germani's visits to Solanas, a beach located in Uruguay, where the designer would spend summers. A paradise of crystal clear ocean waters, never-ending sunsets, and sand that shimmers in the sunlight on a beach that disappears into the horizon. The Solanas Collection is characterized by its engaging minimalist forms through which Germani has carefully considered several design elements — thin-profile, rectilinear legs that seemingly become a fluid extension of the frame or are articulated on the underside at various cants; the addition of micro-perforated panels that form the partial backrests, curving as they wrap the corners of forms; and cushions and backrests that are deep, denoting an inherent comfort. Solanas is composed of thermo-lacquered, welded aluminum profiles with optional Dekton armrests. The cushions are composed of polyurethane foam rubber that has been covered in a water-repellent textile. Both frame and cushions are available in a wide range of finish and textile options. The reclining backrest adjusts at 120, 140 and 160 degrees. A protective cover is available separately for an additional charge. Manufactured by Gandia Blasco.
