Another small masterpiece that beautifully illustrates Roberto Lazzeroni's masterful manipulation of wood is the designer's Archibald night table. A tour de force of planes - both vertical and horizontal - that create a concealed upper drawer as well as an easily accessed lower surface. To accentuate the spatial interplay of these planes, the designer has covered aspects of the table in leather with perimeter stitching - the resulting color-blocking juxtaposition of the leather and wood is remarkable.
