Overview

The Erasmo desk is an executive desk with a frame, top and chest of drawers in solid national walnut veneer, available in a natural finish, tobacco color finish and dark walnut. The leg and the joint between the top and the leg are in walnut canaletto wood with natural finish. The desk is available in a version with an ebony macassar top or a saddle leather top. Additionally, the desk comes with or without cable holder and adaptor. A separator in national walnut and an internal top in saddle leather for the drawer as well a modesty panel for the front of the desk are available for an upcharge. Manufactured by Giorgetti.

Massimo Scolari

Massimo Scolari (born 1943 in Novi Ligure, Italy) is an architect, designer, and artist. He graduated with a degree in architecture in Milan in 1969. In 1973, he became a professor of History of Architecture at Palermo and of Drawing at the Istituto Universitario di Architettura di Venezia (IUAV). He has been a visiting professor at numerous universities including Harvard, Yale, Cornell, and Cooper Union. He began designing furniture for Giorgetti in 1989 and functioned as the manufacturer's art director until 2001. His art is included in the permanent collections of several museums worldwide including the Museum of Modern Art, New York; Centres Pompidou, Paris; and the Deutsches Architektur Museum, Frankfurt.
