Overview

The Normal Wing lounge chair has a base frame in polished solid beech wood and the back in compact rigid polymer foam. The upholstery is available in fabric, leather, or in two colors, with the external side in leather and the internal one either in fabric or in leather. The wing chair has a completely removable upholstery and foot-caps in moulded glazed nickel-plated metal. Matching ottoman priced separately. Manufactured by Giorgetti.

Massimo Scolari

Massimo Scolari (born 1943 in Novi Ligure, Italy) is an architect, designer, and artist. He graduated with a degree in architecture in Milan in 1969. In 1973, he became a professor of History of Architecture at Palermo and of Drawing at the Istituto Universitario di Architettura di Venezia (IUAV). He has been a visiting professor at numerous universities including Harvard, Yale, Cornell, and Cooper Union. He began designing furniture for Giorgetti in 1989 and functioned as the manufacturer's art director until 2001. His art is included in the permanent collections of several museums worldwide including the Museum of Modern Art, New York; Centres Pompidou, Paris; and the Deutsches Architektur Museum, Frankfurt.
