The Fjord Bar Stool is part of a collection that designer Patricia Urquiola developed with Moroso in 2002. As its name suggests, Fjord takes its inspiration from iconic minimalist Scandinavian designs and quite literally to the unexpected negative space in the form of a wedge-like gap (akin to a fjord) in the seat which is rendered as either symmetrical within the stools and chairs or profoundly asymmetrical with the backs associated with the lounge seating. Noted here is the Fjord stool that is available in a choice of counter or bar heights. It features a shell seat with enigmatic "fjord-like gap" in the low profile integrated backrest. Tubular steel base with footrest reinforces Fjord's minimalist aesthetic. Manufactured by Moroso.
