Designed by: Patricia Urquiola
Manufactured by: Moroso
For her Redondo Collection, Patricia Urquiola took her inspiration from the upholstered interiors of American cars from the 1950s and 1960s. In fact, Redondo's forms were developed specifically with the sumptuous, quilted upholstery that was developed for sensuously curved forms. Noted here is the Redondo sofa that has a distinctive two–part shape, with a padded shell that embraces the huge seat cushions. Its curves are shown off by the total absence of sharp corners and the sheer softness of the fabric itself. The quilted upholstery uses thread, like the lines of a pencil, to articulate the resulting luxe three-dimensional forms. Manufactured by Moroso.
