As much floor sculpture as it is stool, Ube is a striking addition to any interior. As his inspiration, Jean-Marie Massaud looked at the form of the seeds of the Lodoicea tree. Commonly referred to as "coco de mer" or "coconut of the sea," this seed is produced by a rare palm tree that is indigenous to only two islands in the Seychelles. It produces the largest seed of any species on Earth; its form is both sensual and evocative. Ube features a distinctive concave shape, forming a comfortable cradle to sit upon; its composed of solid wood with Poliform's classic olmo nero finish. Manufactured by Poliform.
