The ergonomically designed Sanluca lounge chair is shaped to enwrap the body and at the same time seems to sketch a movement in space. It is an extraordinary example of timeless Italian design. Designed by the Castiglioni brothers, the Sanluca lounge chair turns upside-down the traditional constructive logic by emptying out the traditional padding to lay bare the essential curves that are "strictly necessary" to ensure optimal support. The result is an ergonomic profile which is extremely comfortable and creates a strong formal impact, which has become nowadays a symbol of the history of the Italian design. Firm wooden structure made of subsequently assembled elements. The padding is diversified density polyurethane foam. The upholstery is available in either Pelle Frau leather or Heritage leather. An optional ottoman, designed by Achille Catiglioni in 1991, is also available. Manufactured by Poltrona Frau.
