As its name suggests Mario Botta’s sculptural Clessidra Stool resembles the form of an hourglass – Clessidra literally means “hourglass" in Italian. The stool is carved out of a single block of scented cedar wood that has been expertly crafted to obtain its unique shape resembles two hemispheres – one placed upside down atop the other. The Clessidra Stool can also be stacked to create an impromptu totemic sculpture. Cedar wood is available in several finishes. Manufactured by Riva 1920.
