Designed by: Hikaru Mori
Manufactured by: Riva 1920
The Ombra bench gets its name from the illusion of a "shadow" that one of its attenuated hexahedric forms takes on as it intersects with the other. In this instance, the wood portion of the bench becomes the "object" - the metal form becomes the "shadow." Mori's juxtaposition of the wood with its inherent striations with the monochrome solidity of the metal is extraordinary. Available in walnut, oak, or cedar - the latter available in several finishes. The iron metal is available in several lacquered finishes. Manufactured by Riva 1920.
