Santa & Cole has recently created a floor version of the Andre Ricard's much-loved Tatu design. Originally designed in 1972, the Tatu table lamp was originally produced by Metalarte, Spain, Santa & Cole reissued this fabulous, award-winning design in 2019– an engaging piece that resembles a periscope that allows the user to twist sections of the lamp in several directions in order to orient the emitted light. Tatu’s form was conceived as three sections that can rotate independently to adapt its use for a desktop, bedside table, or shelf – it can even be used as a wall light. Santa & Cole’s re-edition of Tatu is enhanced through its use of dimmable LED technology that allows the user to not only adapt the light intensity but it makes the source considerably less hot and longer lasting that the original production. Tatu’s moveable converging lens also allows the user to adjust the focal length of the light. In addition to the table lamp version, the floor version of Tatu is infinitely practical allowing the user to direct light - its fabulously enigmatic form is perfect for use as a reading lamp adjacent to a sofa or lounge chair or even a bed.
