Fat, Tom Dixon’s new upholstered seating range, was designed to hug the body while allowing multiple positions for the sitter. Available as a dining chair (noted here), bar stool, and lounge chair, the extreme simplicity of Fat’s components is a testament to the sentiment that form follows function, while engendering a humorous silhouette and a reductionist aesthetic. The Fat dining chair is composed of molded foam with a metal frame in high gloss black lacquer – available in several fabric options. The entire Fat Series is hand-finished and upholstered by experienced craftsmen. Manufactured by Tom Dixon.
