The Mirror Ball light is one of Tom Dixon’s most identifiable designs – inspired by both the space helmet and by disco balls. Mirror Ball is lightweight yet robust and reflects its environment, projecting ambient light. Shown here as a dramatic floor lamp, the Mirror Ball Stand Chandelier features a cluster of seven gold finish Mirror Balls in all three sizes – two large, two medium, and three small. These spheres emanate like globular branches from a gold finish steel tripod. Manufactured by Tom Dixon.

Tom Dixon started receiving critical acclaim in the mid 1980s for his furniture designs - by the late 1980s, his designs were being produced by Italian manufacturer, Cappellini. In the 1990s, he founded Eurolounge and unveiled his hugely successful iconic Jack “sitting, stacking, lighting thing” in 1997. The following year, he joined Terence Conran’s Habitat, where he remained as its Creative Director for a decade. In 2002, Dixon launched his namesake brand that produces an ever-expanding collection of furniture, lighting, and accessories including now iconic pieces like Mirror Ball, Copper Shade, Wingback Chair, and Beat Light. Dixon’s designs have received numerous awards and are included in the permanent collections of museums worldwide including the Victoria & Albert Museum, London; Museum of Modern Art, New York; and Centre Pompidou, Paris. The designer has also created a number of engaging interiors through the Tom Dixon brand subsidiary, Design Research Studio.
