The aim at the time was to design a piece of furniture that offers the comfort of the classic Chesterfield but looks lighter. As with all Chesterfield furniture, Haussmann has the characteristic diamond pattern structures on the back and seat. The traditional upholstering technique of button tufting makes sure of that. Modernity is reflected in the delicate legs (a tribute to the Bauhaus movement.)
