Designed by: Josef Hoffmann
Manufactured by: Wittmann
The Haus Koller sofa is part of a suite of furniture designed between 1914 - 1914 by Josef Hoffmann as part of alterations to the home of Hugo Koller and Broncia Koller-Pinnell in Oberwatersdorf, Austria. Koller-Pinnell was a painter and a member of the Vienna Secessionist movement. After inheriting the house, she invited Hoffmann and Koloman Moser to create the interiors. The channeled upholstery through which the designer has organized the beautifully curved forms of the Haus Koller sofa is still timeless after a century. Most of Hoffmann's furniture designs were site-specific pieces - Wittmann expertly recreates these Hoffmann designs under license from the Josef Hoffmann Foundation. Manufactured by Wittmann.
