En ouvert is the French name given to an open body alignment in which a ballet dancer faces the audience downstage. OUVERT, a 199cm high mirror, presents an equally open and self-confident stance in the eye of its beholder. Taking the name from the world of dance is fitting since OUVERT zeroes in on the playful and swinging lightness sought by NOTE's designers in their work: the world is serious enough - so it makes sense to leave it to the objects that enrich people's everyday lives to espouse effortlessness and joie de vivre.
