Designed by: Josef Hoffmann
Manufactured by: Wittmann
The Palais Stoclet sofa is as classic as it is beautiful. This sofa was developed by Hoffmann in the early 20th century as part of a commission to design a new home in Brussels for Belgian banker, Adolphe Stoclet. In addition to the architecture, Hoffmann designed virtually every aspect of this extraordinary home - interiors, rugs, lighting, furniture. Completed between 1905 - 1911, the Palais Stoclet is considered by many to be one of the architect's finest works in which every aspect of the structure and its interiors was profoundly aestheticized. Most of Hoffmann's furniture designs were site-specific pieces - Wittmann expertly recreates these Hoffmann designs under license from the Josef Hoffmann Foundation. In addition to the Palais Stoclet sofa, a matching lounge chair is also available. Available in a wide range of fabric or leather upholstery options. Manufactured by Wittmann.
