Designed by Achille Castiglioni in 1987, this flexible table provides two rectilinear surfaces in two heights – its asymmetrically located cylindrical columnar support functions like a pivot allowing the user to arrange the connected surfaces in a number of different ways. Basello is composed of medium density fiberboard in a choice of four scratch-resistant finishes of white, black, burgundy, and teal. The steel articulated cylindrical joint is available in a black finish for the frame’s colored finishes; for the white frame version, the joint finish is white. Manufactured by Zanotta.
