Regarding their 2023 Bol dining table design for Zanotta, designers, Marco Zavagno and Enrica Cavarzan, explain that "in our design language, we love to use elementary geometric shapes and volumes, which interact and come together to create complex shapes. The Bol table is just an example of this process, generating a product with a precise and impressive shape." Zavagno and Cavarzan started with the drawing of a round table with a central leg through which the designers developed the concept of modularity to put together a collection that includes two tables with a round top in two sizes as well as two oval tables with tops in different sizes. The focus of the design lies in its structural base, which is conceived as a module to be used individually or in multiple compositions with two asymmetrical legs - a cylinder, taken from a small portion of the perimeter, is used to create a leg with an understated yet striking shape, with recognizable styling yet functional to the development of an entire collection. Indeed, the leg can be used alone, where the table top dimensions allow it, or together with another to add greater stability to the table top. Tops and bases are available in several lacquered finishes. Available options are an extra-light glass top and a Lazy Susan. Manufactured by Zanotta.
