The Niobe small table has a top available either in white Carrara marble, or in black Marquinia marble or in Emperador marble with stain-resistant protective varnish, in clear matt polyester. The slabs of Carrara, Marquinia or Emperador marble are opaque, warm and pleasant to the touch, supported simply on a minimal metal base in black or white. Manufactured by Zanotta.

From its inception in 1954, Zanotta has been known for the quality, function, and comfort of its furniture designs – all underscored with a remarkable commitment to research and experimentation with materials and technology to enable new aesthetics. Zanotta’s catalogue of iconic modern and contemporary designs chronicles the evolution of Italian furniture design within the 20th and 21st centuries.
Federica Capitani studied industrial design at the University of Genova's Faculty of Architecture before beginning to work with Patricia Urquiola in Milan in 2002. She joined Marcel Wanders in Amsterdam in 2005 and later worked on cultural and design projects in Japan for a period. Capitani is known for a wide variety of products, from lighting and furniture, to utilitarian objects, such as tea pots. The designer established her namesake Federica Capitani Design Studio after moving to London in 2009. Her clients have since include Iittala, Kenneth Cobonpue, Moroso, M&C Saatchi, Peroni Nastro Azzurro, Rosenthal Studio Line, and Zanotta. Today, Capitani teaches at the Royal College of Art in London.
