Ron Gilad (born 1972 in Tel Aviv, Israel) graduated with a degree in industrial design from the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem, Israel. From 1999-2001 he taught 3D Design at the Shenkar Academy of Engineering & Design, during which time he developed unique objects which he later exhibited at shows. In 2001 he moved to New York and co-founded Designfenzider. In 2006 he began teaching at the Pratt Institute, New York. Gilad has collaborated with several design manufacturers; he is currently the artistic director for Danese, Italy. Gilad's designs are included in numerous museums around the world including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York; Museum of Arts and Design, New York; and the Tel Aviv Museum of Art.
