Hikaru Mori (born 1964 in Sapporo, Japan) graduated with a degree in architecture in 1987 from Tokyo University, followed by a Ph.D. in 1991 also from Tokyo University. Shortly thereafter, she moved to Milan where she was engaged in several design, architectural, and landscape projects. Mori has a particular interest in no boundary architecture, connecting both outdoor and indoor spaces. With Maurizio Zito, she co-founded ZITOMORI in 1996 - an architecture and design practice based in both Milan and Avellino, Italy. The objective of ZITOMORI's work is to extract a shape to a vision, responding to complex programs at any scale, offering integrated approach to design, architecture, landscape, and territory.
