Philippe Nigro (born 1975 in Nice, France) studied applied arts and product design at La Martinière School and École Boulle. Today, he works primarily in Italy and France. Nigro's work is characterized by the link between experimental research and the pragmatic analysis of the "know-how" of the manufacturers with whom he works. Over the years, these experiences, reinforced by the combination of Franco-Italian culture, allow him to navigate between projects of different types and scales, working with industry, furniture editors, craftsmen, scenography projects as well. In 2014, he received the recognition of "Designer of the Year" at Paris Maison & Objet Paris and was in charge of the scenography of the 7th edition of the Triennale Design Museum "Italian Design Beyond the Crisis." Nigro has created designs for several manufacturers including Caimi, DePadova, Foscarini, Ligne Roset, Marsotto Edizioni, Roger Pradier, and Zanotta. Some of his projects are part of the collections of the Centre Pompidou and the Museum of Decorative Arts in Paris. He has been working with Zanotta since 2018.
